About Me

Untitled-12

I’m so happy you’ve found me. I hope you feel comfortable here within this space, and I’d like to share a little bit about me.

Who am I?

I’m a deep thinker, a big feeler, and a very human ~ hu-woman being! I love my aliveness, expressed through lots of awareness, feelings and laughter. I’m really grateful for the life I’ve led.

I bring my joyful spirit, embodied enthusiasm, unbridled passion, and humble wisdom to every personal session, every class, and every workshop.

I enjoy finding aliveness in both life’s highs and lows–and even the in-betweens. There is beauty to be found everywhere, even in the process itself. I find my own joy and aliveness in helping you feel connected with who you really are, and helping to carry that awareness forward into your own lives. For me, this IS what life is all about!

In owning our vitality, I believe we can become who we are meant to be–maybe even more than we’ve ever dreamed of.

I love to support people in a deep and profound way. I first lead with my heart, then I share the many skills and knowledge I’ve gleaned from my training and personal experiences. I have an innate understanding of the body–the somatic wisdom that each of us holds energetically, to help heal the whole mind-body system.

You break through the fear and resistance in your life and to step into a richer, more abundant life. My intention is to create a safe and trusting place where you can experience your real feelings,  liberating you from the past, into the present, and on to a more fulfilling future!

I graduated from the Core Energetics Institute East in NYC and the Radical Aliveness Institute in Los Angeles, and am certified in these modalities which I have been practicing for 15 years. These are transformative practices focusing on the personal, interpersonal, and systemic aspects of life–honoring the whole person and their personal history, family dynamics, cultural influences, race, gender, ethnicity, and religion, to name a few.

These modalities allow us to finally feel the feelings that we may not have been allowed to feel in our childhood. Trauma and life experiences create holding patterns and defenses in our energetic system, which block us from our real selves.

Through this practice, I encourage you to connect to your real self and ultimately, to your higher self, where your connection to your essence and what you bring into this lifetime can be embraced in a profoundly positive way.

I see clients individually, couples, lead groups & workshops in the Chicagoland area, around the USA and online. I enjoy working with older teenagers, young adults, and adults who are young at heart 🙂

I also practice CFT; Craniosacral Fascial Therapy that I integrate into my practice during sessions to open up the fascial, craniosacral and autonomic nervous systems. I also give exclusively CFT sessions with adults and children in person. Check out my CFT page for more information and how it can help heal our bodies and create balance and better life energy flow.

I’m a Movement Mentor who believes in the power of the body through expressive movement and body awareness. I also specialize in releasing stress in the body from a holistic perspective: mind, body, and spirit. I do this through movement, mindfulness, and meditation by creating a better connection to the mind/body with pleasure, ease, and flow for a better opportunity to feel more Alive! I’ve also completed the MBSR program on mindfulness and stress reduction and taught classes privately and in corporate settings.

Also, because of my extensive training in movement and dance, my clients often say they attain more body awareness and energy release, leading to a sense of more vitality and aliveness. Teaching Tai Chi, Qigong, meditation, and dance helps to keep me centered, balanced, energized, and very happy. I hope to bring that to you, too

It’s your choice. I see clients online and in person. If you live nearby working together in person is really great, if not, we can do a lot via Zoom of FT. Check in to see what’s best for you: a session individually, in a couple, or join a group. My practice is in Chicago, Illinois.

I’d love to see you, when you’re ready.

Please check out “Keeping the Beat” formerly known as “Blogs” where I share my musings about aliveness, movement, creativity and inspirational thoughts.
